You may be asking yourself what a Candy Salad is. It is a salad that consist of different types of candy placed in a bowl, mixed up and served as a snack or dessert. When I first read about this viral salad I had to give it a try. I immediately started thinking about the types of candy I was going to put in my salad and how much fun my guest could have with this at a party or family gathering. This salad went viral in TikTok and is perfect for those with a sweet tooth.
How to Make the Candy Salad ? Since it is whatever candy, you prefer .. just pick out different types of unwrapped candy mixed together in a bowl. *Note you may want to mix your chocolate-based candy together in a salad and non-chocolate candy in a different salad. Directions: After you have selected your candies for the salad, cut them into smaller pieces and place a bowl. Mix up the candy just like you would a salad. Don’t over mix the candy because it may cause it to melt especially if it is chocolate.
Chocolate Based Salad
With this candy salad I decided to buy candy that we use to eat when I was growing up. I enjoyed eating this salad when I was watching a movie. It bought back a lot of memories of when I was growing up and buying candy from the candy store.

I tried my best not to add anything else to the salad bowl. But I couldn’t resist because I wanted to see what it would taste like with some caramel and brownies. 🙂

- Types of chocolate, like miniature candy bars cut into smaller pieces
- I saved some money by buying the small chocolate bars in a variety pack
- Buy large candy bar and cut it up in smaller pieces
- Add some marshmallows
- Brownies
- Carmel topping
- Chocolate topping
- Whip Creme on top
- Can’t have the whip creme without having a cherry to put on top
- Cupcake sprinkles
- Cake or cupcakes cut up into small pieces
- Add some nuts
- What about some graham crackers ?
- Cookies ….Oreo cookies
- Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream
- Halloween Candy only

- Try different types and always add an ounce or more of fun to it
- NOTE: Be careful when you make this candy salad. You don’t want to make it too many hours before the event because some of the candy may melt. Storage – temperature could affect the candy.
My Review of the Candy Salad
I could see myself turning this into a dessert that is served after dinner or at a birthday party. Placing it in a glass with some whip creme on top and provide a toppings bar for my guest. With the different types of chocolate that I tried I couldn’t think of anything else to add to it besides ice-cream toppings. You have to be careful what you add to this because one wrong topping or candy will change the flavor dramatically. The candy salad is a great treat to have an event. It will surely be part of the conversation that everyone will be taking about, and they will be thanking you for bringing it.
