Recently, a video went viral on TikTok by a user that showed how she was able to feed her family with the Mickey D’s Dinner Box from McDonald’s. Most people were unaware that McDonald’s offered this dinner box for the price of $12.50.
In my hometown, it sells for $15.19, which is three dollars more than what is in the viral video. I don’t why the customer in the video was able to get if there $12.50 and why the prices would vary so much by location. Her $12.50 total has been verified by multiple users on social media by using her hometown zip code in the app. McDonald’s did issue a statement that the prices for this do vary by location and are set by each franchisee. Even though mine cost $15.19 I still think it is a great price to feed four people.
This article will explain what is included in the meal, how to order it, and how to check for the lowest price in your area.
It contains 2 Big Macs, 2 cheeseburgers, 10 chicken nuggets, and 4 small fries. It doesn’t include any drinks. Even though the dinner box doesn’t contain any drinks, it is a great deal for $12.50. The family can bring some drinks with them if they are going to eat the meal in the car or get some drinks when they get back home.

HOW DO YOU PURCHASE THE MICKEY D’s DINNER BOX USING McDONALD’s App ?

1. Download and Open the McDonalds app
2. When the app opens, MENU and DEALS are displayed on the screen, click on Full Menu which is to the right of MENU and highlighted in blue
- if you don’t see this on your screen click on the Order icon that is on the bottom of the screen and proceed to the next step.
3. Scroll down until you see Shareables and click on Shareables
4. Scroll down until you see the Mickey D’s Dinner Box ( I almost didn’t see this at first because I didn’t scroll down far enough)
5. Customize the Sandwiches and fries if you need to and select 2 sauces for the nuggets.
6. You will not be able to add the Mickey D’s Dinner Box to your cart until you have selected two sauces for the nuggets.

10. Review and Pay
11. Choose Payment Method
12. Pay and Place Order
You will receive a Four-digit Code when the order has been processed.
When you get to the drive-thru to place your order, let the cashier know you have a mobile order and give them your four-digit code.
HOW TO ORDER WITHOUT USING THE APP
If you don’t want to use the app, call your local McDonalds and ask them if they have the Mickey D’s Dinner Box and what is the price. When I was checking prices at other McDonald’s nearby, one location didn’t sell the Mickey D’s Dinner Box. Prices do vary by location so; you may want to call a couple of McDonald’s. Check your app first for prices because they vary by location.
After checking different McDonald’s locations near me in the app there was a McDonald’s location that is selling the Mickey D’s Dinner Box for as much as $20.00. That’s four dollars more than the other location that is near me. Check other locations so you can make sure you are getting the best price.
To change the location .. click on order and change location. A map will be displayed. After you select a different location, the price will be updated if it is different from the last one in your cart.

WHY DOES THIS WORK FOR MY FAMILY?
When I was on my way over to visit my mother, who was babysitting my three-year-old nephew I purchased the Mickey D’s Dinner Box. Below is how we divided the food to get four meals for four people in my family.
Nephew 4 years old – 5 nuggets, cheeseburger and small fries
My Mother – 5 nuggets, cheeseburger and small fries
My Adult Daughter – Big Mac and a small fry
Myself -Big Mac and a small fry
Since my mother always has soda and juice around the house. We just got something out of her refrigerator to drink. The only problem was that my four-year-old nephew asked where is the Happy Meal box and his toy. 🙂
This can be very beneficial on a night when you don’t feel like cooking, while traveling, working on projects around the house, or busy in the yard and you just need to go and grab some food for the family to eat. If you have a much larger family, you can purchase more than one Mickey D’s Dinner Box. This was really worth the price of only $4.48 (total price including taxes $17.92/4) per person to eat a meal.
TIPS WHEN PURCHASING THE MICKEY D’s DINNER BOX
I think this Mickey D’s Dinner Box only works when you have two adults and two children, or the items are split for two or three people who have a bigger appetite.
If you have a bigger family you can purchase more than one on the same order or by using multiple app orders.
I just wish McDonald’s would allow you to switch out the Big Mac for another burger because everyone doesn’t prefer Big Macs.
